About the Leafcutter Bee

Delicate yet industrious, the Leafcutter Bee is one of Australia’s most fascinating native pollinators. Known for cutting perfectly shaped circles from leaves to build and protect its nest, this remarkable species represents precision, craftsmanship, and quiet dedication in the natural world.

The 2026 Leafcutter Bee 1oz Silver Proof Hologram Coin captures this spirit through refined minting and modern presentation. Struck from 1oz of 999 fine silver, the design highlights intricate wing textures, sculptural relief, and foliage-inspired detailing, enhanced with hologram technology that adds depth and movement to the coin’s surface.

Obverse & Legal Tender

The coin’s obverse features the effigy of King Charles III, along with the year-date and monetary denomination.
