The coin’s reverse portrays a coloured koala perched in a eucalyptus tree, holding a leafy branch in its mouth surrounded by native foliage. Included on the reverse are the inscriptions ‘KOALA’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, as well as the coin’s weight, purity and 2026 year-date.

The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the coin’s monetary denomination.
