Created by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things debuted in July 2016 and quickly became one of Netflix’s most popular television series ever. Rooted in 80's nostalgia, it has sparked a resurgence of pop culture items from the decade with every new season. The series has also garnered over 70 awards worldwide including Emmys and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series and has been nominated for over 230 awards.        

The coin's coloured reverse portrays Vecna and Eleven standing side by side, their opposing hands outstretched as they channel their supernatural powers. Both characters are presented on a divided background with vines evoking the eerie presence of the Upside Down. Featured in the design are Eleven’s Surfer Boy Pizza glasses and the stained glass rose from the Creel House window. Also included is the “STRANGER THINGS" logo along with the inscription ‘YOUR SUFFERING IS ALMOST AT AN END’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The coin’s obverse portrays the Jody Clark effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, as well as the weight, purity, monetary denomination, and 2026 year-date.
