Bluey Cricket 2027 $1 Coloured Silver Proof Coin

Following on from the success of the Bluey corporate and NBL coin releases in 2024, PD and met with licensors, BBCS, to discuss opportunities for future coin programs.                                                     

BBCS were interested in the production of more coins featuring the beloved Australian IV program, particularly a single NBL program in 2025 and further Corporate and NBL programs for 2026, leading up to the release of a Bluey movie in 2027.

The 2024 Bluey coin programs generated a lot of interest and revenue for the Mint. It increased awareness for the organisation and cur products, and attracted a many new customers. Demand for both corporate and NBL programs surpassed supply with many customers missing cut on these collectable wins.                                           

There is great potential for additional Bluey related coins as the intellectual property continues to be extremely strong in Australia and globally. The show was reported to be the most popular program broadcasted on demand on ABC Kids and the no. 1 watched shows in the IJS in 2024 racking up 34 billion minutes watched via streaming channel Disney+. It has also received multiple accolades including:

Mirroring the Bluey Christmas program, the product range will include a $1 coloured uncirculated Tin and $1 coloured silver proof coin, Both coins will be housed in custom packaging, leveraging the highly recognisable Bluey assets that will resonate wiå the primary target audience, being gift buyers.
