The coin reverse portrays a spirited brumby with a raised hoof. The horse is standing beside a tree that is shedding its bark – a regular occurrence in the lifecycle of many Australian eucalypts. As well as fallen branches among strappy leafed native flora, the design includes the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN BRUMBY’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight, fineness and 2022 year-date.
