2027 $1 Lunar Series - Year Of The Goat Uncirculated Two-Coin Set

To ring in the 2021 Lunar Year of the Goat, the Royal Australian Mint presents this beautiful two-coin set featuring the gent e and peaceful Goat. With two new $1 reverse designs and outer packaging inspired by traditional Chinese 'red packets', the set makes a wonderful Lunar New Year gift for friends and family.                                      

The Goat is the eighth of the twelve signs in the Chinese zodiac According to legend, twelve animals participated in a race across a river to allow the Jade Emperor to establish the of the zodiac signs, The Goat finished in eighth place, followed by the Monkey and the Rooster, the three animals had worked together to cross tie river on a raft.                     

People born in the Year of the Goat are said to be creative and compassionate. Famous international Goats include entrepreneur and philanthropist Bill Gates, tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, and musicians Norah Jones and Ed Sheeran. Well-known Australian Goats include actress Nicole Kidman and musician Tina Arena.
