It’s a meeting of prehistoric titans, as the top land predator meets the master of the skies! This 1 oz. 99.99% pure silver coin brings the ancient world to life by showcasing two icons of the Late Cretaceous: Tyrannosaurus rex (aka the “tyrant lizard king”), one of the largest theropod dinosaurs ever to have lived; and Quetzalcoatlus northropi, one of the largest animals ever to fly. Enhanced with selective colour, the prehistoric scene is equal parts art and science, with an additional layer that remains hidden until illuminated by black light (included), revealing the prehistoric beasts’ fossilized forms—a nod to the remarkable discoveries preserved in Canada’s fossil-rich landscapes.
