Back to the Future is an American science fiction comedy film released in July 1985 and starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, a high school student who accidentally travels 30 years into the past to 1955, jeopardizing his own future existence.

The coin’s reverse features an image of the Back to the Future II official logo, featuring Delorean Time Machine. The logo is surrounded by lightning bolts as well as stylised numbers from the Delorean time circuits. Officially licensed by Universal Studios, the coin is produced by The Coin Company and struck in bullion quality from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver. 

The coin’s obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date and the monetary denomination
