The Coin Company is proud to present the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Queen Elizabeth 2026 UK £5 Brilliant Uncirculated Coin by The Royal Mint.  

As Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II presided over a time of incredible change, acting as a constant source of comfort and stability. From her accession to the throne in 1952 onwards, The Royal Mint struck every official UK circulating and commemorative coin of Elizabeth II’s reign. Now, 100 years since the monarch was born, The Royal Mint honours Elizabeth II through a coinage tribute that reflects on her remarkable life and a record-breaking reign.

The range features two reverse designs created for this important memorial, the first by heraldic artist Timothy Noad, which is inspired by the ironwork of St George’s Chapel where Elizabeth II is buried. The second design was created by visionary artist Henry Gray and includes oak branches interwoven with hidden symbols of the UK’s four
home nations. The range also features carefully curated sets representing some of the key milestones in Elizabeth II’s life. Finally, a limited number of Celebration Sovereigns complete the range. Struck on 21 April 2026, exactly 100 years since Elizabeth II was born, these Sovereigns feature a privy mark inspired by the Lily Font in the private chapel at Buckingham Palace.
