The Royal Tudor Beasts The Tudor Dragon 2024 UK £5 Brilliant Uncirculated Coin
The Royal Mint
The Coin Company is proud to present The Royal Tudor Beasts The Completer 2027 UK £5 Brilliant Uncirculated Coin by The Royal Mint.
Hampton Court Palace is a magnificent testament to the ambitions of one of England’s most notorious monarchs. Built in the early sixteenth century, Henry VIII claimed the estate as his residence. Following his marriage to Jane Seymour in 1536, Henry VIII commissioned a commanding entrance to the palace, presenting several majestic beasts to honour his new Queen Consort. These beasts that were chosen to appear on the Moat Bridge include the Seymour Panther, the Lion of England, the Yale of Beaufort, the Bull of Clarence and the Seymour Unicorn; the line-up also features the Tudor Dragon, the Queen’s Panther, the Greyhound of Richmond, the Queen’s Lion and the Royal Dragon.
Crafted in collaboration with renowned sculptor and illustrator David Lawrence, The Royal Tudor Beasts 2027 UK Coin features all ten of these royal beasts and brings The Royal Mint’s commemorative collection celebrating the Royal Tudor Beasts to a close. Available struck to Proof standard and Brilliant Uncirculated standard, the coin also features in a two-coin set.
