The Perth Mint is proud to present this exclusive 2025 American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money Special. Struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The coin’s reverse portrays a representation of a koala embracing a tree trunk with eucalyptus foliage. The design features a coloured privy mark of a Bison animal known as the buffalo, the largest terrestrial animal in North America. The design includes the inscription ‘KOALA’, along with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight, purity and 2025 year-date.
The coin's obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,500 of the 2025 ANA World's Fair of Money Special Koala 1oz Silver Coloured Coin.
