The brilliant surface enhances the rich silver, making these Canadian coins highly collectible. First introduced in 1988, the distinctive maple leaf privy mark adds both security and visual appeal. While commemorative editions feature unique designs, the classic maple leaf remains the hallmark of the series.

Royal Canadian Mint Security Features
Since 2015, the Royal Canadian Mint’s Bullion DNA™ program has set the standard in bullion coin security. Each coin includes a micro-engraved textured maple leaf privy mark with the production year, visible only under magnification and verifiable with a decoding device. Every Silver Maple Leaf dated 2019 and later also features MINTSHIELD™ Surface Protection, the only proven method to reduce white spots or “milk spots,” ensuring your silver stays pristine and authentic.

Obverse: Depicts the official portrait of King Charles III, surrounded by inscriptions including his name, the coin’s face value, and the year of issue 2026. The radiant background serves a security function and lends the composition an elegant, modern character.

Reverse: Shows the classic maple leaf—Canada’s national symbol—designed by Walter Otto. The rim contains the silver fineness marks Ag 9999 and the name of the issuing country. At the bottom, an additional micro-engraved maple leaf is visible, serving as a security element characteristic of contemporary Maple Leaf issues.
