The Coin Company is proud to present the 2025 $100 Fine Silver Coin - The Hunter by the Royal Canadian Mint.
The Kwakiutl carved panel design from 2024’s The Hunter is superbly re-created on this 2025 piece, where the larger (76.25 mm) diameter provides more space for the master of the skies to spread his wings and fly. The Eagle is resplendent in yellow gold plating, as is the Orca’s fin seen moving through the waves below. Both sides of the coin feature an engraved woodgrain pattern that mimics the straight-grained look of western red cedar, while the twisted cedar rope frame has been brought in slightly to form a tighter fit around this 10 oz. sized work of contemporary Kwakiutl art.
KEY FEATURES
- One of the Royal Canadian Mint’s buzzworthy coin designs of 2024, The Hunter makes the leap from 2 oz. to 10 oz. of 99.99% pure silver in 2025, now with an exceptional Proof finish for unmatched brilliance.
- The reverse design resembles a wood panel hand-carved by Kwakiutl artist Jason Henry Hunt and features the formline style that is characteristic of Northwest Coast art, with yellow gold plating accentuating the flowing lines and ovoid shapes that tell the story.
- Includes a special art card featuring the artist’s original sketch, image of the coin model and an explanation of the design.
